Untouched Manali's beauty is unpredictable. Winters (October to February) the temperature can dip as low as -1 °C, making it and ideal time for skiing and enjoying Snowfall which is common during the end of December and the whole of January. Good time for honeymooning. This is very cool time in manali.
Manali is extremely cold during December and January making it a good destination only for honeymooner. However, tourists accompanied by children should take extra care. It makes the exicitment inside every person to know about the different relegion. It happened wid the bookmanali.com Team when Team were clicked in the Tibetan Monasteries Manali.
With a huge population of Tibetan people settled in the region of Kullu, several Tibetan Monasteries have been set up in Manali. The monasteries are rich in preserving the culture of the Tibetan people. The literature and the handicrafts of the people of Tibet are preserved in the Tibetan monasteries in Manali. The Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa is situated near the Mall in Manali. The monastery is run by the local people who gather funds through donations. The unique feature of the monastery is the handicrafts of Tibetan artistry and the carpets that are woven and sold in the monastery. The Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa in Manali was constructed in the year 1969. The architecture of the monastery represents the Tibetan style of architecture designed with hued frescoes. The statue of the Lord Buddha presides in the monastery. The Himalayan Nyingamapa Gompa is situated near the market place in Manali. The architecture of this monastery replicates a more modern style than the earlier one. Placed in the midst of sunflowers, the monastery glows at night with light bulbs lit to lighten it up. The huge gold faced statue of Lord Buddha presides over the monastery.
The aromatic fragrance of the Tibetan incense sticks that are lit in the Tibetan Monasteries of Manali lays an enchanting charm on the tourists and lures them to visit the monastery again. The Tibetan monasteries at Manali are one of the chief Manali tourist attraction and features chiefly as an important pilgrim itinerary on a tour of Manali.

Good evening to All ............
bookmnali.com journey is going to Manikaran which is well known for its hot bath. The area is well known for its hot springs and its beautiful landscape
This small town attracts tourists visiting Manali and Kullu to its hot springs and piligrim centres. An experimental Geothermal Energy plant has also been set up here.Manikaran is a pilgrimage centre for Hindus and Sikhs. The Hindus believe that Manu recreated human life in Manikaran after the flood, making it a sacred area. It has many temples and a gurudwara. There are temples of the Hindu deities Rama, Krishna, and Vishnu. T.Manikaran is located in the Parvati Valley between the rivers Beas and Parvati, northeast of Bhuntar in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh.
The legend of Manikaran states that while roaming around, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, once chanced upon a place that was surrounded by mountains and was lush green. Enamoured by the beauty of the place, they decided to spend some time there. It is believed that they actually spent eleven hundred years here.
During their stay here, Goddess Parvati lost her mani in the waters of a stream. Upset over the loss, she asked Shiva to retrieve it. Lord Shiva commanded his attendant to find out the mani for Parvati, however, when they failed, he was extremely angry. He opened his third eye, a tremendously inauspicious event which led to disturbances in the universe. An appeal was made before the serpent god, Sheshnag, to pacify Lord Shiva. Sheshnag hissed thereby giving rise to a flow of boiling water. The water spread over the entire area resulting in the emergence of precious stones of the type Goddess Parvati had lost. Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were happy at the outcome.
The water is still hot and is considered extremely auspicious. A pilgrimage to this place is thought of as complete. It is also believed that there is no need to pay a visit to Kashi after visiting this place. The water of the spring is also supposed to have curative powers. The water is so hot that rice can be cooked in it.
